Parce que les sacres des nouvelles générations n'ont réellement de sens que lorsqu'ils sont mis en perspective des déceptions et des frustrations les ayant précédés, nous avons choisi de rendre hommage à quelques légendes du football tunisien... Certaines peuvent être considérées comme "maudites" en sélection.

Sadok Sassi, légendaire gardien au joli sobriquet emprunté à un nom d’oiseau (en argot Attouga, littéralement « poulette »), ne connut pourtant pas les grandes migrations des Mundial 1970, 1978. La faute respectivement à un but malheureux encaissé au match de barrage contre les Lions de l’Atlas au stade Vélodrome de Marseille en 1969 (2-2 agg, le Maroc se qualifie pour la World Cup 1970 grâce à un tirage au sort ndlr) et d’obscures raisons ayant précédé l’épopée en terre gaúcho..

Ne chante pas t-on encore aujourd’hui : « 🎶 untel Ya Attouga !🎶 » pour louer les prouesses d’un gardien ?
